We are excited to announce a fantastic line up of films and various colourful events held in different locations. The Yallingup Surfilm Festival has grown substantially since the inaugural event in 2010, in answer to public demand. Held in 5 locations,the YSF'12 program is diverse this year, with a strong focus on the environment and the ‘why’ of surfing. With 9 Feature Films, Live Music, a Live Auction, Art Exhibitions and Q & A sessions with anecdotes on the making of the films with the film directors and surf legends, with surf culture and film making forums, a tarp surfing demo, and a fancy dress surfing comp, YSF’12 is an event not to be missed!

Clancy's Fish Pub is the setting and our host for the main night time film program of Australian Premieres, talks with the film makers, music, and exhibitions, raffles and much more. Samudra will screen films during the day. These films are also Australian Premieres and in the running for the Best Film Awards. The iconic Yallingup Hall will come alive with surf legends and surf filmmakers, who will be discussing various current issues and trends. And on Sunday morning, be sure to get down to the beach to particpate in or watch the Fancy Dress surfing competition!

What to bring

Yallingup can be hot during the day and sometimes very cool at night. A warm jumper or jacket is an essential item to bring along at night, even though it is the middle of summer. For comfortable seating at Clancy's, bring your own low back chair, picnic blanket or beanbag.

Parking / Shuttle bus

Thanks to South West Coach Lines, Yallingup Surfilm Festival patrons can catch a ride on a new shuttle bus service.

It’s first in best dressed at Clancy’s with limited car parking available, so the best way to get there is to park in Dunsborough or at the Yallingup Store and jump on the bus where there’ll be plenty of space for blankets and chairs.

Every hour on the hour a bus will travel the Capes loop, which runs from Dunsborough to Yallingup, to Eagle Bay and back to Dunsborough. The bus loop will commence at 1.00pm and conclude at 10.00pm.

South West Coach Lines will also operate additional shuttle buses from Dunsborough Visitors Centre to Clancy’s and from Yallingup Store to Clancy’s every 15 minutes between 5.45pm and 7.30pm. From 10.30pm till 11.30pm on Friday and 10pm - 11pm on Saturday and Sunday the shuttle buses will run from Clancy’s back to Dunsborough and Yallingup, leaving every 15 minutes.

A shuttle bus ride costs just $4 for an adult and $2 for a child one way.  Shuttle tickets can be purchased on-board.

Dinner at YSF

Leave your picnic basket at home as there will be an affordable festival dinner menu for kids & adults alike available for general dining on the lawn throughout the festival. Also available will be popcorn, chocolate, donuts and other delightful treats.
